A standard magnitude or quantity used for measurement is known as a unit.
Types of Units
There are two types of units:
（i) Fundamental units
（ii) Derived units
（i) Fundamental units: The units adopted for measuring the fundamental quantities like
length, mass, and time are called fundamental units.
（ii) Derived units: The units which are derived from the fundamental units are called derive
units.
